Sea Monsters!

Thank heavens for pollution and over fishing or the world would still be over run by sea monsters, just like in olden timey days!  See image below and be grateful you live in the 21st century.
On the other hand this may not be an image of long dead monsters, but a vision of the future of what we'll all mutate into in a few more years...

More challenges!

I'm gonna do it!  The no restaurant (including fast food places) challenge.  This of course excludes days where I don't have access to the to my kitchen(power outage, fumigation, etc.), and celebrations.  So for the next six months the only food that shall pass betwixt my lips are those prepared by people I know the first and last name of.
Yes, I know this is bad for the economy, but I feel that my cooking has suffered now that we can afford to eat out whenever we please, although not at the places we please...  I don't think I've tried a new recipe in like three months now.  And I really want that iPhone.  And the only way I can get without the guilt killing me is by giving something up.  And it will help me to romanticize poverty, which is also very important to learn in a recession.
BTW this does include my weekly In n' Out meal.  I've had enough thousand island dressing to last me a life time.  I look forward to my friends and family attempting to sabotage me at every turn.

Used clothes challenge!

Just for me.  I'm doing this in the interest of M expanding her wardrobe.  And saving money.  And expanding my own wardrobe while saving money.  And to practice sewing...
Anyway for the next six months I will only buy used clothes.  Decent used clothes (i.e. cardigans, skirts, jeans and work pants should I be so lucky, things that don't get a lot of use), which I can modify myself, either by altering it so it fits well or adding wried details.  Anybody else up for the challenge?  I'm looking at you, X.  Maybe a no restaurant challenge will be next?  Any takers? C'mon guys, there's a recession agoing on, we all know it's the wise, but painful, thing to do.

If it (the clothes one) works out, I do it for the rest of the year.

This challenge will exclude underwear, shoes, socks, and funeral clothes.

My new mug, the one that will change my life

This is the mug..

And this is the new planner/notebook...

They both make me feel like such a professional.

Kuromi is a rabbit! Well, a rabbit like creature...

Yay!  See M, I was right!

From the Wiki
Kuromi (クロミ Kuromi?) is the rival of My Melody from the animeOnegai My Melody. She is a white rabbit-like creature, wearing a black jester's hat with a pink skull on the front and a black "devil" tail in the place of a normal rabbit's tail. Kuromi's appearance also looks similar to those of cartoon characters from the 1920s and 1930s. Goods featuring Kuromi first appeared in Japan in July 2005. She has three image songs all sung by her seiyūJunko Takeuchi.

Did I make any new year's resolutions?

I can't remember, but I know I didn't write anything serious down.  I am completely unwilling to commit to self improvement.  I think I might continue with this stance.  And you know what will aid me in my pursuit of nothing?  Netflix, that's what.  I've watched sooo many bad horror movies over the past few days; ProLife, Dance of the Dead, The People Under the Stairs... This is my mindless TV watching substitution.     I've watched so many horror movies this year I'm not even the least little bit freaked out in a dark room.  But am I becoming desensitized to faux horror or are my pills making take on a "bring it on brain, I'm not scared of you" attitude?  Is it bad that I use horror movies to sooth myself to sleep?  It is just that movies I've been watching are so ridiculous that the cross the line into comedy?  Unintentionally of course.
